WOLVES AND WHITETAILS
Stokes Bay offers incredible wilderness areas that have an abundance of wolves and whitetails. We recomend taking advantage of our special offer of wolf hunting in the months of February and March then taking our group hunt for whitetails in the fall.
Groups of 2-6 are recommended for the whitetail hunts. These hunts include stand sites, transport to camp, use of lodge boats to travel the lakeshore areas and drainages where the big bucks are.
You must bring groceries, sleeping bags, personal gear and if you have a good portable stand we recommend to bring that also. There are areas to spike camp into so if you have the gear, bring it.
You must be prepared to hunt wilderness country. These hunts are semi guided for you and your group but you must have knowledge of deep woods buck hunting. Our guides will work with you on selecting areas and stand sites.
When you return from the field each night a cook will have the main lodge warm and ready to prepare your food the way you like it. Assistance in all camp operations pertaining to your hunt is expected from you the hunter. This trip is not for those who want a fully guided trip or indoor plumbing. We have an excellent shower house and outdoor latrine.
This is a hunting trip for big bucks and your guides will be 2-1 ratio according to Canada Law for this district.
We will take a maximum of only 6 hunters per week.
